The Mandø Bus is a specially designed tractor bus, which transports tourists/residents to and from the island Mandø in the Wadden Sea.
The times of departure of the bus depend on the tides – at normal high tide there is 1.75 m of water across the Ebbevejen (Low Tide Road) – and in the summer period it departs 1-2 times a day (in the winter time according to agreement). Departure from the parking lot west of Vester Vedsted at Vadehavscentret. The crossing takes approx. 40 minutes.

Experience Denmark’s wildest nature phenomenon, when the biggest starling flocks of the country “dance” above the marshlands and in Wadden Sea National Park. Black Sun can be experienced each spring and autumn, when the starlings gather to an eating party of insect larvae, before they continue their migratory flight further on. Thus, they will be able to cope with the demanding breeding period. Black Sun cannot be described with words – it must be experienced, at least once in a life time. Møgeltønder is one of the oldest towns in the country, and therefore it plays a very special part in the history of Denmark. In Møgeltønder you will find the well-known Schakenborg Castle, where Prince Joachim used to live. This of course was of great importance for the town, which is always well worth visiting.
Løgumkloster offers a very beautiful monastery church with extraordinarily fine acoustics. The town has a historical town centre and an old market place surrounded by lime trees, which creates the setting for a colourful market each spring.
With only 20 km from Arrild to the German border, a shopping tour on the other side of the border to buy goods, which quench your thirst and suit your sweet tooth, is an obvious idea. Do not forget your passport.
Legoland® is one of Denmark’s most known and popular entertainment parks for families and children. Experience the fantastic park, where more than 60 million Lego bricks have been used to build all the models of the park. Here you can let yourself go both on land, at sea and in the air.
Experience Denmark’s most beautiful beach. The beach on Rømø is among Europe’s widest beaches with lots of space and open widths. Rømø has 13 km of fabulous sand beach, which can be up to 4 km wide according to the tidal water. The wide beach on Rømø has room for everybody – and not the least for ball games, kite flying and long walks.
Visit Denmark’s oldest town Ribe, which has a long, fantastic and dramatic history.
Ribe offers a totally unique atmosphere. In only a few places in the country you can find such a well-kept mediaeval town centre with cobbled streets, old half-timbered houses and a magnificent cathedral at the centre.
Experience the excitement and adventure at Riplay – Denmark’s largest playground, located in Ribe, just a half-hour drive from Arrild Ferieby Camping. Spanning an impressive 12,500 square meters, Riplay is a true paradise for children (and adults who enjoy fun and games). Entrance is free.

Marsk Tower, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group, is an impressive landmark in Southern Jutland. The 25-meter-high tower offers a unique 360-degree panoramic experience, with views stretching to Ribe, Sild, and Rømø on clear days. Here, there’s also an opportunity to play mini-golf, enjoy a unique gourmet experience in their restaurant, and much more.
Draved Skov and Kongens Mose (forests) in Løgumkloster is a unique and protected natural area in Southern Jutland. The forest is known for its biodiversity and untouched parts that resemble ancient woodland. The area is home to a diversity of plants and animals, including rare bird species and insects.
Lindet Skov Hundeskov is a 10.5-hectare fenced-in dog park, located close to Arnumvej in Toftlund. The park offers a large and safe space for dogs to play and explore. Conveniently situated near the parking area, the dog park is an ideal place for dog owners to enjoy nature with their four-legged friends.
In Skærbæk, close to the campsite, you can find activities for children of all ages, including a large playland with free entrance for children under 10 years. Adults and children from 8 years can experience the thrill of the go-kart track, or the whole family can enjoy a trip to the swimming pool.

Lovely peaceful campsite with nice, clean facilities. It’s centrally located, so you can get out and about in all directions. We ended up staying twice as long as we thought we would and would be happy to come back.
A nice, quiet place with plenty of space and shelter around the caravan. Great play opportunities for our 7 and 9 year old grandchildren.
A place we would love to visit again, even without grandchildren, and spend time cycling and walking in the area
We had some lovely days at Arrild camping. Great bathing conditions and well-maintained site, it’s probably not the last time we’ll be there.
A place that is highly recommended for both price and facilities.
